Announcement: Our partnership with Success magazine

This is Part 1 of a 3-part story. Read Part 2 and Part 3

A few years ago we had a light bulb moment about the media.

In part, this revelation was sparked by the role social media played in shaping the results of our presidential elections. But even as we thought about the things that impacted our day-to-day lives, we realized the media had a big hand in molding belief systems and thus the actions of millions of people. So much of our preferences and purchases are largely based on what we’ve seen on television, in print and on social media. More importantly, many of the principles that govern our lives are sculpted and reinforced by the media we consume.

It’s convenient and perhaps timely to be concerned about this given how easily this power has been used to perpetuate lies and falsehoods. But what about the other side of that coin? What about the media that celebrates, amplifies and perpetuates beliefs that lead to positive action? In those cases, the act of creating, introducing and spreading positive messages makes the media a tool with the power to improve quality of life.

That’s why we launched our blog. That’s why we wrote our forthcoming book and that’s why we’re thrilled to announce our partnership with Success Magazine. In their own words…

SUCCESS is the only magazine that focuses on people who take full responsibility for their own development and income. SUCCESS readers understand that the world has changed and the classic employer-to-employee relationship has changed from a patriarchal to a transactional one. No longer can you expect a corporate training program and a predictable growth track. Our readers understand and embrace that they are responsible for their own long-term success and happiness, and need to be proactive in finding the inspiration, motivation and training to achieve their goals.”

Success magazine covers over the years

We couldn’t have said it better ourselves!  So here’s what this partnership means for us:

We are joining their editorial board as Money Editors

This means we’ll play a heavy-hand in producing the future money-related content published under the Success brand umbrella.  In collaboration with their Editor-in-Chief and others on the Marketing, Multimedia and Communications team, we’ll be creating, promoting and delivering content to help readers achieve their financial goals. Specifically, this means we’ll:

  • write a recurring column in future issues of Success magazine
  • have regular communications with Success employees [e.g. newsletter]
  • host webinars on a broad range of financial topics
  • collaborate with Success leadership and other members of the editorial team

We’ll work alongside experts in key areas of personal and professional development

Life isn’t all about money right?  Other members of the editorial board will cover topics like lifestyle, entrepreneurship, sales & marketing, hustle, and leading people.  They are successful entrepreneurs, best-selling authors, world-class speakers and leaders in their respective fields.  We can only hope to give as much we anticipate learning from them as we collectively seek to uplift the community we serve. They’re still filling a few roles, but so far, the other editorial board members are:

  • Rory Vaden: NY Times Bestselling Author of Take the Stairs, Hall of Fame Leadership speaker, and co-founder of Brand Builders Group
  • Kindra Hall: President and Chief Storytelling Officer of Steller Creative, Wall Street Journal Bestselling author of Stories that Stick.
  • Tristan Ahumada: Founder of Lab Coat Agents, consultant to Fortune 500 companies, real estate expert and international speaker

We’re [finally] launching a podcast

The rich & REGULAR Podcast coming soon!

We’ve been flirting with the idea of launching a podcast for years now. After all, our mission is to inspire better conversations about money! But we’ve been hesitant to launch one because of how much upfront work it required. Not to mention, after producing Money on the Table, writing a book and several major projects lingering in the background; there weren’t many hours left in the day.

But now that our manuscript is complete, we look forward to pouring this newfound creative energy into our podcast. The best part is the Success team will help with the heavy lifting in marketing, editing and operational support so we can focus on making it the best possible podcast we can! We’ve already begun planning and if our initial meetings are any indication, we’re beyond excited for what’s in store. This will be a weekly podcast and we’re aiming to launch in April on all major platforms.

So what’s next?

Well for us, there’s tons of fun work ahead. We’re even taking vocal lessons so we have the perfect pitch for all the recordings we’re getting ready to make. Just kidding.

We’re learning about Success, they’re learning about us and we’re all collaborating on the Success Achievers community. Success Achievers is their free online platform where we and all connect to share and learn about all the core topics we mentioned above. It’s a gold mine for people looking for personal and professional development content and resources. We highly recommend joining and if you don’t already, please join the 4 million member + online community across Success’ social media platforms on , Twitter, Facebook , YouTube and Instagram

We can’t wait to share more with you over time and look forward to all the positive and uplifting work to help you achieve your financial goals.

Sincerely,

Julien and Kiersten
